Buxton Mountain Rescue Team called at 16.00 hours by East Midlands Ambulance Service following the report a someone having fallen from the top of a well known monument, Solomon’s Temple in Grinlow Country Park.

Buxton Mountain Rescue Team called by North West Ambulance Service to an incident at Lud’s Church, a natural rock feature at Back Forest near Gradbach.
On arrival the team located an 8 year old boy from Warrington, Cheshire. The youth had been walking with his family around the top of Luds Church when he fell approximately 10 metres through the undergrowth into the chasm. The boy sustained several injuries after hitting the rock face on the way down. Buxton Mountain Rescue Team called to assist Derbyshire Police and East Midlands Ambulance Service dealing with a despondent female in Tideswell Dale. The casualty was helped to an ambulance for transport to hospital.
A full team call following a report of a male walker with head injuries on Brown Knoll. However, as the call-out developed further information placed the casualty near to Edale Cross. Buxton team stood down and Kinder MRT and Helmed 53 dealt with the incident.
A joint Buxton and Edale Teams’ Snatch Squad call to a gentleman with a suspected fracture of the ankle in Bretton Clough. Mobile-phone communication was difficult in this remote area and it took a short time to pinpoint the exact location of the casualty site. A couple from Marple, Stockport, had been walking in the clough when the 71 year old man stumbled resulting in a painful ankle injury.

When a team is already engaged it is normal practice to request a neighbouring team to take the call. Buxton Mountain Rescue Team called to assist East Midlands paramedics and an air-ambulance crew dealing with an incident near to Lee House Farm, Upper Booth in the Edale Valley.
An 18 year old male was part of a school group from Croydon participating in a Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award expedition when he slipped crossing a stile and sustained back injuries. Initial treatment was by ambulance staff who then placed the casualty on a spinal board. Team members then assisted in the stretcher carry out of a boggy situation and across a river to where the air-ambulance was waiting.
