Pembrokshire Coastal Path, Fishguard

Search dog Megan was called from a national SARDA training event in the Brecon Beacons to assist in the search for a vulnerable female aged 39 years. She had been missing overnight from her home in the heart of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. SARDA resources were stood down on arrival at the RV after the missing person was located in Fishguard by police who took her to a hospital for assessment .

Dovestone Clough, Ladybower

A Buxton Edale snatch squad, assisted by members of Glossop team were called to evacuate a female who had slipped and sustained a fractured ankle whilst walking above Ladybower Reservoir. The casualty, who was also very wet and cold, was packaged and evacuated to the roadhead.

Millstone Edge

Buxton team was called to assist Edale team after reports that a climber had fallen from the top of the Embankment area sustaining head, neck and leg injuries. He was evacuated to hospital in the Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Rutland Air Ambulance.

Back Dane

Buxton team called to evacuate a 43 year old female from Wildboarclough who slipped whilst walking with her partner in the Back Dane area near Allgreave woods and sustained a fracture of the lower left leg.  The casualty was given pain relief and splinted on site by North West Ambulance Service paramedics and team members before being loaded on to a stretcher and evacuated 400 metres to the ambulance for onward transportation to Macclesfield hospital

Curbar Edge

Buxton Edale snatch squad called to evacuate a 39 year old male from Alderley Edge who fell whilst climbing ‘Green Acres’, an E1 5A route, and fell ca 10 metres injuring his left shoulder and left ankle.  The casualty who had managed to get himself to the top of the crag  was treated by team members and evacuated for over a mile on a spinal board & stretcher to a road ambulance for onward transfer to Chesterfield Royal Hospital.
