Whilst the rescue teams were dealing with the previous incident at Stanage another fallen climber was reported at Burbage Edge South.  Team resources were redeployed to assist the female climber who was reported to be unconscious.   The casualty was treated by MR doctors before being transferred to an air-ambulance

Edale & Buxton Joint Team Snatch Squad called to Stanage Edge following a climbing accident.  The casualty had fallen five metres sustaining a head injury.  Treatment was given by rescue team doctors and first aiders before the casualty was carried to the road where an ambulance was waiting.

A joint Edale & Buxton Snatch Squad call-out for a 16 year old male who had slipped whilst walking.  The slip resulted in a nasty open fracture of the ankle. The casualty was treated on site and then stretchered to a waiting ambulance.

Buxton MRT called to Dove Dale outside its normal area of operations due to Derby MRT already being committed to another task.

A 14 year old female from Burton on Trent  had been reported as having collapsed with breathing difficulties whilst walking on Bunster Hill.   Two team vehicles were quickly on the way as members were attending a training event at base.  However, on arrival it was found that the girl had been located by paramedics and she was able to walk to the ambulance.  Team stood down

A joint snatch squad of Buxton and Edale Mountain Rescue Teams was called to Monyash Village, near Bakewell on Saturday afternoon.

We located a 75 year old lady from Newton Abbott, Devon, who had slipped on wet limestone near Ricklow Quarry in Lathkill Dale whilst walking part of the Limestone Way. She sustained head and wrist injuries and was treated on site by the air ambulance doctor and paramedic.

The aircraft had landed some distance away, and the casualty was carried by stretcher to the waiting Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Rutland Air Ambulance. She was flown to the Northern General Hospital, Sheffield, for further …
