A full team call following a report of a male walker with head injuries on Brown Knoll.  However, as the call-out developed further information placed the casualty near to Edale Cross.  Buxton team stood down and Kinder MRT and Helmed 53 dealt with the incident.

A joint Buxton and Edale Teams’ Snatch Squad call to a gentleman with a suspected fracture of the ankle in Bretton Clough.   Mobile-phone communication was difficult in this remote area and it took a short time to pinpoint the exact location of the casualty site.  A couple from Marple, Stockport, had been walking in the clough when the 71 year old man stumbled resulting in a painful ankle injury.

Buxton Mountain Rescue Team was engaged on a training exercise at Chee Tor when a call was received relating to a collapsed female on Jacob’s Ladder.  When a team is already engaged it is normal practice to request a neighbouring team to take the call.  However, Edale MRT was also currently engaged so a frantic recovery of equipment and team members from the exercise began.
