Little Eaton – Dog Search

52 year old vulnerable male missing from home address in Little Eaton since 0930. SARDA dogs called to assist Derby MRT with a search of surrounding woodland, crags, farmland and scrub. The body of a male matching the description of the missing person was found outside the search area as it started to become light.

Wingerworth Dog Search

BMRT was requested to assist Derby MRT and Derbyshire Police at 1450 with an urgent search in the Wingerworth area. The request was for a search of farmland and woodland in an urgent search for a despondent sixty one year-old male, for whose safety they were concerned. The male was located safe and well at 1700.

Tissington Dog Search

Vulnerable missing male had contacted relatives with threats to harm himself late on 20/07. The last known location was established by Police as the area surrounding Tissington. Derby MRT and 2 SARDA England search dogs were deployed at 0200. The male was located by Police outside the search area safe and well at 0900. Search dog Griff sustained injuries to pads on all four paws due to the nature of the terrain worked and the intensity of the dogs work rate.

Search Dog Megan with handler, Dave Mason, called to assist Derby M.R.T. in the search for a missing elderly female. Whilst at the rendezvous point and drawing up search plans, news came through that the lady had been found, safe and well, by members of the public.

Macclesfield Forest

Search Dog Megan, with handler Dave Mason, called to assist search teams to find a 49 year old male from Macclesfield.

A search of the forest and local area failed to locate the male  Teams were closing down for the night and preparing to return the following day when news came in that the man had been located by the police safe and well.

Brimington, Chesterfield.

Edale and Derby Mountain Rescue Teams were called by Derbyshire police to assist with an ongoing search for a missing vulnerable female in the Brimington area of Chesterfield.  A number of  S.A.R.D.A. dogs were also called and Buxton Search Dog Megan and handler Dave Mason were soon on their way to help.

Maltby, nr Rotherham

Search Dog Megan, with handler Dave Mason, called by South Yorkshire Police at 16.30hrs  to search for a missing vulnerable male in the Maltby area near Rotherham.

Searches were conducted of the local area and no trace of the missing person was found. The search was stood down at midnight when all viable search areas had been completed.

The male was found by police on the following morning safe and well, outside of the initial search areas.
