A male exhibitor at the show with chest pain requested assistance. A BMRT paramedic assisted and advised going to hospital which was declined. Advised to visit GP. Advised to visit EMAS unit on site at the show if symptoms continued.
The team were called to assist Edale MRT with a young lady who was out for an afternoon with her family and slipped at the side of Padley Gorge and sustained a painful ankle injury. She was given pain relief and had her leg splinted before being carried a short distance to the road, where she was handed over to a crew from East Midlands Ambulance Service.
A Lady with a medical collapse in the main grandstand at the Chatsworth Country show. The lady was treated by the Show Event Medical team which requested the help of BMRT to transport the lady to the event medical centre as all their patient transport resources were already deployed on other jobs.
The team was called by the Police to a known location call out in the Goyt Valley. A walker at location SK 0107 7421 had heard shouts of somebody asking for help. He called 999 and reported it. The team was called out for the snatch which turned into a prolonged search of the area. No person in need was found by the team and the team were stood down at 1728hrs.
The team were called to assist Derby Mountain Rescue Team and Derbyshire Constabulary who had concerns for a missing Male in the High Tor area. Sadly a man matching the description was found deceased. Our thoughts are with the gentleman’s family and friends.
BMRT were called to assist Derby MRT with a casualty evacuation at Thorpe Cloud where a climber had fallen injuring their head. The casualty was helped across the stepping stones by passers-by and met by a Road Ambulance. The team were stood down en route.
The team was called to two crag fast children aged 10 and 4 who were stuck after climbing up the cliff face. The children managed to self rescue before team arrived on site.
Buxton and Edale Mountain Rescue Team’s responded to help a lady walker who had become unwell in Grindsbrook. Both teams worked with East Midlands Ambulance to transfer the casualty to an awaiting land ambulance.
The team was called to help a lady walker from Irlam, Manchester who had experienced a medical collapse whilst walking in Lathkill Dale. The team assembled at Haddon Farm then headed into the dale with to assist East Midlands Ambulance Service paramedics. The casualty was assessed on scene by paramedics and team cas carers before being placed on a stretcher for the steep ascent to the awaiting ambulance. The team was assisted by two specialist police units from Derbyshire Constabulary and members of a Woodbridge Rugby Union Football Club who were staying on the Haddon Farm campsite.
The team were called to assist Edale Mountain Rescue Team on a joint snatch to help a fallen climber on Stanage Edge. The team work with both Edale MRT and East Midlands Ambulance Service to assist the casualty to an awaiting road ambulance.
