Roaches ridge
As a climbing incident was closing, we were asked to assist the ambulance service with a 29 year old male walker from the Stoke area who had sustained a painful knee injury whilst walking the Roaches Ridge.
The man was treated on site by ambulance service paramedics, placed onto our specialist stretcher and carried by team members some 500 metres to the ambulance waiting at the Roaches Gate.
He was then transferred to the University Hospital of North Staffordshire for further treatment.
