Search dog Megan and handler called to assist Valley and Holme Valley MRT’s. Unfortunately, during the course of the search through some very rough ground, Megan was injured and has lost quite a sizeable piece of flesh from her upper right foreleg which required surgery to suture the wound together. Luckily no muscle or tendon was damaged and a vein was narrowly avoided.

Megan will be off the callout list for the region of two weeks. Vet Bill – not insignificant.
