Kinder Scout

At 16.00 that afternoon team members were alerted to a party on Jacobs Ladder which had become totally disorientated in the low cloud and had lost their way.   The party of three and a dog had been aiming for Kinder Reservoir and Hayfield but had descended the wrong valley off the moor.   The party had no map or compass and in the serious weather conditions, team members felt obliged to escort the group to a fixed point at Edale Cross where they were pointed in the right direction sticking to a well made track.
