Eldon HIll near Sparrowpit

Buxton Mountain Rescue Team called by East Midlands Ambulance Service to an incident in the old quarry workings at Eldon Hill, near Sparrowpit.

A paraglider from Rotherham had landed on a ledge to the side of the main quarry face sustaining a lower leg injury.  Air-ambulance paramedics were first on scene to treat the man for his injury.

Buxton Team members then carefully lifted the casualty onto a mountain rescue stretcher and carried him to the waiting helicopter for onward transit to a Sheffield hospital.

Losehill, Hope Valley

Search Dog Megan, with handler Dave Mason,  called to assist several mountain rescue teams and police officers with a search for a missing vulnerable male in the Mam-Tor area.

Search dogs were stood down whilst on route when the male was located by police officers

Mam Tor near Castleton

Buxton Mountain Rescue Team called to assist Derbyshire Police Officers in the search for a vulnerable adult in the area of Mam Tor and the Great Ridge.   Edale M.R.T was also called in shortly afterwards.

The man was later located by police officers who took the man into care.

Wirksworth near Matlock

Buxton Mountain Rescue Team placed on standby to assist Derby M.R.T. in the search for a vulnerable adult.  Not long after this request another call to assist the police in a search around the Mam Tor area was received.

Whilst Buxton M.R.T. played no active part in this search the subject was located very shortly after.

Middleton near Wirksworth

Search Dog Megan with handler, Dave Mason, called to assist Derby M.R.T. in the search for a missing elderly female. Whilst at the rendezvous point and drawing up search plans, news came through that the lady had been found, safe and well, by members of the public.
