Buxton Mountain rescue has a mystery supporter. She is planning on doing the BUPA Great North Run, coming up on 5th October. This is the world’s biggest and most prestigious half-marathon (13.1 miles), based in Newcastle.

The reason, in her own words is:
‘I have many happy memories of hiking, camping and climbing in the Peak District, and so far so good – I haven’t been one of the 60+ callouts they [Buxton Mountain Rescue team] get every year. None of us want to ever be in that situation but it could happen!’

We’re not quite sure how fit our supporter is at the moment, so whether this run will be easy or a challenge is also a bit of a mystery. However, we do know that by using the Justgiving online facility, sponsoring Angela in her efforts is very simple.
