Wet and cold. Ah yes, it’s a Bank Holiday

The Easter weekend signals the start of another fund-raising season for Buxton Mountain Rescue team.

Whatever the weather, you can be sure that we’ll be out on the streets of the small hill village of Castleton in the Hope valley. Team members give up some of their family time over the long weekend to put in a non-emergency public appearance, talking to visitors and locals alike about what we do. Ultimately we hope you’ll agree our endeavours are worth while and that you’ll drop some loose change into our collection buckets. These funds really are vital for keeping our operations going – we have no other source of funding apart from what the public voluntarily donates.

So, if you did pass by and said hello, had a chat, and/or graciously made a donation, we thank you. Every little counts. You cheered us up no end.
