Team Find Beavers in Sutton.

When a colony of Beavers got in touch with the rescue team to ask for a talk about its work, local members were happy to help.  Fortunately theses Sutton Beaversbeavers were not the wood munching type but a great group of six to eight year olds from Sutton near Macclesfield.

A team vehicle was dispatched from the Dove Holes base so there was plenty of rescue equipment to learn about.   Team members were keen to explain how the team is called out and how people are carried to safety.  There was then a quiz all about hill safety and how to contact emergency services when needed.  Finally the children took part in a practical demonstration of the casualty care equipment and a stretcher carry.

At the end of the night team members received a shout of “Bravo” from the whole Colony before packing up and heading back to base.
