Buxton Mountain Rescue team called following the report of an incident above Windgather Rocks, near Kettleshulme.

A 31 year old male participating in a fell race had suffered a medical episode causing him to collapse.  The medical episode passed and the man was later able to walk to the road with the assistance of team members and ambulance crew.

A call-out for Buxton Mountain Rescue Team following the report of an incident in Crowden Brook.

An adult male from the Leicester area had fallen whilst descending Crowden Brook leaving him with a suspected fracture to his finger.  The shock of this had caused the man to feel unwell and initially did not feel able to walk down unaided.   A party member descended the hill to call for help from the phone box at Upper Booth.

A joint call-out for Edale and Buxton Mountain Rescue Teams following the report of an incident near to the top of Golden Clough on Kinder Scout.

A member of a group from Peterborough had fallen whilst walking causing an injury to her ankle. After treatment by team members the casualty was placed on a mountain rescue stretcher and carried down to the village.  From Edale she was taken to hospital by relatives.

On Saturday evening the Peak District Mountain Rescue Organisation received a request for assistance following flash flooding in Stockport.  The call out was to a multi agency incident where teams were asked to work alongside the fire and ambulance services in the Offerton area.

Qualified water rescuers from six Peak District teams, including Buxton, responded working for several hours checking on residents welfare and delivering sandbags as required.

A second call to the Monsal Trail relating to a sheep stranded high on a limestone cliff face.  This time the team was armed with better information and the bleating animal was quickly located.

Buxton Mountain Rescue Team called following the report of a sheep stuck fast high on a limestone ledge.

After 2 hours of searching, team members found plenty of sheep but none cragfast and the incident was called off.

Buxton Mountain Rescue Team called to join a massive search for missing schoolgirl, Kizzy Whitehurst, from Tarporley, Cheshire.

BMRT team members joined other volunteers from five Lowland Search and Rescue Teams, five mountain rescue teams and a number of trained search and rescue dogs  in the hunt which had been ongoing since Monday night.

Buxton Mountain Rescue Team called by East Midlands Ambulance Service following the report of a climbing accident on the popular limestone outcrop at Aldery Cliff.

A very experienced rock climber had fallen approximately twelve metres onto the ground whilst abseiling from a ledge.  The 70 year old casualty from Nottingham sustained extensive injuries including suspected back, pelvic and leg fractures.  Medical treatment was started by the ambulance staff who were on scene first and then were quickly supported by team members as they arrived.

Friday the 13th proved quite lucky for one young lady who stumbled and sustained a head injury, but not as seriously as first thought.

The joint snatch squad of the Edale and Buxton rescue teams was called to an incident near to Hollins Cross, just above Castleton.  A teenager, part of a school group from the Doncaster area, had been walking the ridge when the accident occurred.  Given the potential seriousness of the incident, the Derbyshire Rutland and Leicester Air Ambulance was also called.
