Incident report

Just as team members were relaxing this evening they received a request for assistance from East Midlands Ambulance Service. They had been called, along with Your Local Air Ambulance WNDLR to a person who had been climbing / bouldering on the rock edges near Tideswell Dale, and had fallen and landed on very steep ground.

The team quickly arrived on scene and started to assess the situation. While some team members were placing the casualty on a vacuum mattress on a mountain rescue stretcher, other team members were setting up a rope system to assist with the transfer of the casualty down the steep slope.

Once at the roadside, the casualty was transferred to a waiting ambulance for onward transport to hospital.

We wish the casualty a speedy recovery and hope they are soon out enjoying the countryside again.
