Incident report

A very busy evening for the team tonight with two call outs.

The first call out was to assist Cheshire Police and our colleagues, Cheshire Search and Rescue who had been asked to search for a missing person in Macclesfield.

With the call coming in late afternoon, and with the prospect of not much daylight time left, Buxton MRT was requested to provide additional members to carry out the search.

A number of search sections had been deployed and were in the process of searching their respective areas when it was reported that the missing person had been located, safe and well.

This was a good example of the Police and the voluntary rescue teams working well together, and in this case, with a great result.

Whilst this search was taking place, the team received a call to assist Edale MRT with an incident near to Mam Tor, above Castleton.
