Incident report

Our colleagues from East Midlands Ambulance Service called the team out to assist with an incident on the Monsal Trail involving a mountain biker with suspected shoulder and head injuries near the viaduct at Monsal Head.

Team members arrived at Monsal Head and walked down to the scene of the incident, and to meet with a team response vehicle which had accessed the trail, from further along at Millers Dale.

In the meantime the paramedics from EMAS had assessed the casualty’s injuries and decided it would be possible to walk the patient to the ambulance. As such the team was quickly stood down.

We wish the casualty a speedy recovery and return to complete the journey along the trail.
