Incident report

Just after 2pm on Monday 25th March, Edale Mountain Rescue Team and Buxton Mountain Rescue Teams were called out to a report of an incident on Mam Tor.

The incident involved an injured paraglider pilot. The Derbyshire, Leicestershire & Rutland Air Ambulance

also attended the incident and was able to quickly transfer the casualty to Sheffield Northern General Hospital for further assessment and treatment.

This rescue is another good example of how the voluntary mountain rescue teams work closely together with other emergency services to effect quick treatment and evacuation of the casualty to hospital.
