Incident report

The Kinder Search Plan was initiated for a mountain biker who was unsure of their location and benighted somewhere on the Kinder Scout plateau. Glossop, Edale, Buxton and Kinder mountain rescue teams were teams tasked to search their allocated areas of the plateau.

Subsequent information via Sarloc confirmed that the missing person was north of Sandyhays and was moving in a northerly direction.

Members of Glossop Mountain Rescue Team were able to locate the mountain biker and take care of the biker.

As the missing persons whereabouts had been confirmed, and GMRT were dealing with the incident, members of Buxton Mountain Rescue Team were stood down.
