Incident report

The team was called out to an incident near Errwood Hall, to assist East Midlands Ambulance Service with recovery an injured person. The casualty had been enjoying a late afternoon walk with their family when they slipped awkwardly whilst descending a path, fell and injured their ankle. After being given pain relief, and treatment by EMAS paramedics, the casualty was placed on a mountain rescue stretcher and carried to a waiting ambulance in the car park, before being transferred to hospital.

The team kit which had been used was then given a thorough cleansing, as per our Covid-19 policies, before being packed back onto the vehicles and returned to base.

Our best wishes go to the casualty for a swift recovery and return to the Peak District National Park
