Incident report

Buxton Mountain Rescue Team called by Cheshire Police to assist at an incident near to the well known White Nancy landmark at Kerridge above Bollington.

An adult female fell runner had tripped and fallen striking her head and injuring her shoulder. Initial treatment was by ambulance paramedics but owing to potential seriousness of the injuries North West Ambulance called for an air-ambulance.  The helicopter attended and landed close to the scene.  However, because of the deteriorating weather and poor visibility, the helicopter was unable to take the casualty.  Buxton MRT was called and responded with eleven members and one Kinder MRT member who carried the patient to a land ambulance waiting on Redway Lane.
