Incident report

Buxton Mountain Rescue Team called at 16.00 hours by East Midlands Ambulance Service following the report a someone having fallen from the top of  a well known monument, Solomon’s Temple in Grinlow Country Park.

As team members arrived, ambulance paramedics were already on scene and treating the casualty and the Derbyshire, Leicester and Rutland Air-ambulance was just landing.  The 15 year old boy, on holiday with his family from Derby had fallen 20 feet from the top sustaining possible back injuries.  Following on scene treatment the youth was carried to the waiting air-ambulance for a flight to North Staffordshire Hospital.
