Incident report

Following directly on from a previous call-out, a second request for the day came in from the ambulance service to attend an incident on the Monsal Trail.

The casualty, a 35 year old male cyclist, had tumbled over his handlebars and sustained  a dislocated shoulder and minor abrasions. He was treated on site by Edale team paramedics, then splinted onto a spinal board which was placed onto a mountain rescue stretcher. He was evacuated by team members along the trail to ensure as smooth a recovery as possible, avoiding a bumpy vehicle ride.
