Incident report

Buxton Mountain Rescue Team called following a report to the police of a walker, part of a Duke of Edinburgh’s Award group, having sustained an ankle injury on Rushop Edge.

Initial information as to their exact location was sketchy and mobile phone contact had been lost.  However, the team soon located the group of three in Harden Clough well below Rushop Edge.  Following assessment and treatment the 22 year old lady from London was carried by rescue stretcher to the road-head and transported by team vehicle to Edale Station car park to await an East Midlands Ambulance.
