Incident report

Members of Buxton Mountain Rescue Team were diverted from attending the previous call (incident 68/17) to assist a group of Edale M.R.T. members who had also been diverted to this new incident.
A sixty-five year old solo walker form Hucknall, Nottingham had started to feel unwell and then fell sustaining head, neck and shoulder injuries.  East Midlands Ambulance Service was first on scene and had started treatment as mountain rescuers arrived.   Following the administration of pain relief and with great care the man was placed on a stretcher for the short but steep carry back to the waiting ambulance.
