Incident report

Buxton Mountain Rescue Team called with Kinder MRT and Derby MRT to search the wooded and popular, Goyt Valley.    Derbyshire Police requested the assistance of the rescue teams onFriday afternoon to find a 23 year old female from Buxton last seen on Wednesday.  The police had great concerns for the girl’s safety and had reason to believe that she had visited the Fernilee reservoir end of the Goyt Valley.

 Sixty members of the three rescue teams aided by three M R Search and Rescue dogs combed the area from late afternoon but were forced to stand-down at darkness.

 

The search will resume on Saturday morning.
