Incident report

Following deployment of  the team’s Land Rover (see incident 08) a Buxton Mountain Rescue Team vehicle, normally station at Buxton Fire Station, cemetery hill RTA Jan 2015was on its way to take up a Stand-by position at the team’s Dove Holes Base.  Just a few minutes into the journey the crew came across a three vehicle road traffic incident on the A515 in Buxton at Cemetery Hill.

Other emergency services were alerted to the accident involving a lorry and two cars.  Fortunately there were no serious injuries with just one lady requiring medical attention.  It took over an hour to clear the road before the team ambulance was able to take an elderly couple involved in the incident to their home in Fairfield.
