Following a request from East Midlands Ambulance, Buxton team were requested to attend Solomon’s Temple to evacuate a 46 year old male who had been found very cold and unconscious near the monument. The team were deployed to the temple but stood down when it was apparent that a passing fell runner had managed to shake the man awake and drag him off the hill to a waiting ambulance.

Whilst well meaning, this could have been potentially disastrous as moving very cold hypothermic casualties suddenly or roughly can sometimes prove fatal.
