Incident report

The team was called to assist a 53 yr old lady from Chinley, who was walking a dog with husband and daughter and slipped and broke her left ankle on a footpath deep in Fernilee Woods. She was treated by EMAS ambulance crew and evacuated in the dark on a mountain rescue stretcher up the steep wooded hillside to the main path and to the waiting ambulance. The lady was taken to Stepping Hill hospital by EMAS.
