Incident report

The team was already committed to a search of Alderley Edge when a second incident was reported at Golden Clough, Kinder Scout.

A Hope Valley snatch squad comprising members of Buxton and Edale MRT’s was called at 11.40 am to rendezvous at Edale Station car park.  However, with most of the available Buxton team members already committed the job was mainly left to Edale team.  The incident was sparked by the medical collapse of a young female in the upper reaches of Golden Clough.  Despite treatment on site by Edale members, being light on numbers and considering the casualty’s condition the assistance of an RAF Sea King helicopter was called for.  The helicopter evacuated the girl to a hospital in Stockport.
