Incident report

Buxton Mountain Rescue were called by Peak Park Rangers, at the request of the local landowner, to attempt to rescue a crag-fast sheep. The sheep was on a ledge above the cold waters of Erwood Reservoir. Despite a fall into the water which could have been fatal, the animal was safely recovered, much to the delight of a small crowd of onlookers.

Whilst animal rescue is not something that we train for, the team are always happy to try and assist the local farmers who provide us with access to train across our operational area.
