A call from Derbyshire police to assist with the recovery of a body from theChrome Hill Jan 10 foot of Parkhouse hill.   It is presumed that the man had fallen several metres whilst attempting to climb the ridge in the winter conditions.  The middle aged male, thought to be a regular walker from Ashbourne, had been alone at the time of the accident and the exact time and circumstances of the incident have yet to be established.

Team members carried the deceased from the snow covered hillside to Glutton Bridge where the road was sufficiently clear of ice for other vehicles.

Buxton Mountain Rescue Team extends its sincere condolences to the friends and relatives of the deceased.
