Incident report

Buxton Mountain Rescue Team called following a report to police of an elderly man having fallen on the steep side of Park House Hill.

A seventy-four year old man from Bolsover had been walking with a family member when he slipped and tumbled several feet down the steep limestone hillside.   The gentleman sustained a significant head injury and was treated on scene by team members who responded quickly to the call.   Team members continued to care for the man for some time whilst waiting for an East Midlands Ambulance which was to take him to a Chesterfield hospital.
