Incident report

In an unusual call, the Buxton Edale snatch squad was called to evacuate a 46 year old female from Dronsfield who had been found in her car which had left the road on a tight bend on Longstone Edge. The casualty had already been removed from the car by the fire service and the teams were used to evacuate the casualty down a steep slope to the air ambulance. The casualty, whose injuries were thought to be non-life threatening was flown to the Queens Medical Centre for further assessment. This incident attracted a great deal of media interest as it appears that the car may have left the road 2 days earlier on Sunday.
