Incident report

The team, together with a search dog, was called to Leek on Sunday night, after reports that a vulnerable young male was missing in the south eastern outskirts of town, around Bradnop.

Heavy snow was falling and there was a considerable wind chill leading to major concerns for his welfare and safety.

The young man was seen by police within the search area, and the team were preparing a search strategy together with the police search advisor when the missing male returned home.

The team were then stood down. Search dog teams from Kinder, Woodhead and Oldham who were also called out, were stood down en-route.
