Incident report

Buxton Mountain Rescue Team called by the East Midlands Ambulance Service for assistance at Brushfield Hough inbrushfield Taddington Dale following a report of an injured hillwalker.

The casualty, a 47 year old lady from Gedling, Nottinghamshire had slipped whilst walking a footpath to Monsal Dale and sustained a fractured ankle.   She was treated on site by an ambulance service paramedic, lifted onto a mountain rescue stretcher and then carried to Brushfield Hough Farm.  Here she was transferred to the rescue team ambulance and conveyed down the farm track to the waiting E.M.A.S. ambulance and taken to the Chesterfield Royal Hospital.
