Incident report

Ten members from Buxton worked along side members from Edale Mountain Rescue Team on the second snatch incident in as many days. Both teams responded to a lady who had suffered a lower leg injury whilst walking near to the River Noe near to Hope. The casualty was in some pain and was treated at scene by the team’s casualty carers. The Yorkshire Air Ambulance then transferred the lady to hospital.

I am that lady! I will be forever grateful for the amazing help from the rescue teams and Yorkshire Air Ambulance. I would like to thank you all for the incredibly friendly and professional help. Within minutes of your arrival I was made warm, comfortable and reassured. The fact that you are all volunteers is inspirational and your kindness, patience and humour will be with me for the rest of my life.
I have broken my ankle so will not be walking anytime soon but I hope we meet again under more pleasant circumstances when I can thank you personally.
    Thank you again,
    Janet Laughton
