Incident report
Search Dog handler Dave and search dog Griff were called to assist Edale MRT with the search for a missing vulnerable person in the Woodhouse Area of Sheffield.
The search was centred around scrub and woodland areas identified by the police as a priority to search.
Mountain Rescue Search Dogs England provided 5 other dog teams.
Unfortunately a body was found by one of the search dogs after a few hours of searching. EMRT assisted the police in transporting the deceased to the road.
Our thoughts are with the family at this difficult time.
