A late night call-out for Search Dog Megan, with handler Dave Mason, for whom this was also their first call-out as a fully quali
fied search duo. The call came from 36 miles away at Cannock Chase to assist DerbyMRT and Staffordshire (Lowland) Search and Rescue Team look for a male who was missing locally and had threatened to harm himself. Two other SARDA dogs were also deployed.
The man was located by a foot section of Derby MRT and was treated by first aiders before being passed to the care of the county ambulance service.
