Whaley Bridge Ladies Circle

Thanks to the fantastic efforts of the members of Whaley Bridge Ladies Circle the rescue team is £560 better off.

The ladies decided to make Buxton Mountain Rescue Team their “Charity of the Year” and have been busy for the last twelve months raising money through all sorts of events.  The fruits of their labours were formally presented at a Circle meeting at Whaley Bridge United Church on Friday 7th November.  Team members Zoe Lingard and Peter Parker, who gratefully received the cheque, were able to pass on the team’s sincere thanks for the all work and effort.

Local donations like this one are the life-blood of the team and the efforts of people who have worked so hard on behalf of the team is sincerely appreciated.  The money will go towards the team’s current plan to provide a complete set of reserve equipment which can be called on when front line equipment has been soiled or is drying.

Thank You Ladies
