Thanks to the generosity of the members of High Peak Golf Club, the oldest golf club in Derbyshire, the rescue team is £370 better off.

Each year for the past twenty-four years club members have held “The F Factor”, an auction in aid of a local charity.  For 2008 the members chose Buxton Mountain Rescue Team and within 15 minutes of the auction starting £320 had been raised.  The club topped up the donation with another £50.  The money will be used towards financing an upgrade of the team’s operational response equipment.
