Tarmac Ltd, the country’s largest supplier of heavy material to the construction trade, has quarries and production plants throughout the North West and it was the staff members at the Gawsworth (nr Macclesfield) area office which nominated Buxton Mountain Rescue Team to benefit from a £150 donation.

The company’s charity committee at Gawsworth has been working hard raising money all year which it has now divided between several local charities chosen by its members. 

As Team Treasurer I wish to thank all those concerned and who helped to make the donation possible.  Cash value aside it is always satisfying to receive unsolicitored donations from local organisations and clubs which demostrates that the work of the rescue team is noticed and appreciated in the community it serves. And, that’s three more helmets!  Thank you all.
