Sharing the love

Just married couple, one of whom was a team doctor, recently raised c.£350 for Buxton Mountain Rescue as part of their wedding celebrations.

Instead of asking for gifts, Mike Jepson and his wife, Helen, hosted a ceilidh and asked guests at the event to donate to the team instead. Lovely couple, lovely gesture. We’re immensely grateful.

Mike has been an operational member of the team for about two years. His day job was an anaesthetist in a Manchester hospital, and on top of the usual team commitments, he was also active in delivering First Aid and Casualty Care training to his team-mates.

We shan’t be seeing much of Mike for a while, not because his new role as husband is over-taxing him, but because he’s also got a new job, and relocated beyond our area. It was grand having you, Mike. Thanks for the party, the gift, and may your marriage and career continue to dance to a sweet tune.
