Open Garden Raises £100.

In July the “Three Villages Open Garden Event” took place which encourages the residents of Sutton, Langley and Lyme Green near suutton garden 2 smallMacclesfield to invite members of the public to visit their gardens.  Over twenty gardens were opened including a special one owned by Pam and John Gawthorpe of Peter House Road, Sutton Lane Ends.

Dozens of people passed through the garden to view the result of many hours of dedication to all things that grow.  Many of the visitors took advantage of Pam’s sale of her speciality plants, Hostas.  The sale raised a grand total of £110 which Pam and John have kindly donated to Buxton Mountain Rescue Team to help with the 50th Anniversary Vehicle Appeal.

This weekend team members visited the garden to say  a special “Thank You” to John and Pam for their kind donation and to all the gardeners who made it possible.
