Do you know your yards from your feet, your gallons from your metres?  Gill’s (small pun!) new quiz will measure your skill and knowledge.

Despite muttering threats of retirement, the team’s own Quiz Master, Gillian Halliday, has come up with another one to test your little grey cells.

The sixty riddles will have you reaching for both the dictionary and the AA map.  The answer to each riddle is a place name of somewhere in the British Isles that contains a reference to a unit of measurement of weights, distance, time, fluids or anything else that can be measured.

Winner receives a £10 prize and another prize of £5 will be drawn from entries received.

Get your entry form by simply sending a stamped addressed return envelope to Gillian Halliday at BMRT Quiz, “Lorien”, Main Road, Stickney, Boston, Lincolnshire, PE22 8AG.  

Don’t forget to include a £1 cheque payable to: Buxton Mountain Rescue Team.
