Buxton Mountain Rescue Team has just received a magnificent donation from The Buxton Independent Group, a group supporting the  independent councillors in the High Peak.

High Peak Councillor, Linda Baldry and her husband, Robin Baldry, presented a cheque worth £400 to team members, Peter Farrer and Geoff Sumner on Friday morning in a wintery Buxton.

The donation was raised at the annual dinner of the Independent Group and is another welcome boost to the team’s New Vehicle Appeal.   Many, many thanks to all who supported the fundraising event and who made the generous donation possible.

    £400, that’s a mobile radio paid for!
