High Peak Mayoral Charities Committee Donation.

Buxton Mountain Rescue Team is very pleased to report that the High Peak Mayoral Charities Committee has once again made a generous donation to the team’s funds.  The Mayoral Charity has supported the team for several years and each donation has really been appreciated.  Dontaions are the life blood of the rescue team and it could not operate without such generosity.

At a presentation event, held on Wednesday afternoon 10th May,  Buxton M.R.T. was just one of a large number of local charities to benefit from the year long appeal.  The donations were presented by the High Peak Mayor himself, Councillor George Wharmby.

Team Fundraising Manager, Andy Humberstone, receiving the donation said, “We were delighted to receive a very generous donation from the High Peak Mayoral Charity Committee this afternoon. It was an honour to be counted amongst so many other volunteers, from a variety of very worthy local groups and organisations.”

Many thanks to everyone who has contributed to the Mayoral Appeal and therefore made this and the other donations possible.
