Forest Chapel, a special service

Sunday 5th June.  A beautiful summers day set a glorious backdrop for the service attended byForest Chapel around fifty people in one of the most scenic churches in the Peak District. This was the setting for the third year of what has become an annual service kindly dedicated to Buxton MRT.
The service was led by the Reverend Steve Rathbone who himself is a trainee member of the Buxton team and a keen cyclist. This cycling connection led to the concluding song being Ilkley Moor bar Forest Chapel 2 webt’at!  An unlikley end to a thoughtful and appropriate mix of readings and hymns until Steve explained this was one of his recent cycling tours which taught the riders the wisdom of using information wisely and knowing when to give in to the attractions of the final cafe – to saying nothing of that hat!
The team would like to express the gratitude for the kind donations made and Forest Chapel 3 webacknowledge how vital this support is from local communities, without which the team could not exist.
