First Christmas present of the year is from LEEK

Buxton Mountain Rescue Team annually hold a flag day in Leek, Staffordshire, on the run up to Christmas and everyleek-father-christmas-2016 year the kind locals give generously to boost our team funds.

This year Leek folk must be in an extra festive spirit as the sum of the collection exceeded £500.  Throughout the day fourteen members took turns to hold the collection buckets but it must have been the visit of that Very Important Person who encouraged everyone to dig deep.

“Thank You Santa” and a very big thanks to all the people of Leek who braved the weather and gave so generously.
