Chinley Drop In drops in a big one

Chinley Drop In is a group which meets each Wednesday and Friday morningChinley Drop In May 2016 web edited-1 10.00 until 12.00 at The Parish Rooms in Chinley village.   They are there to provide information about the parish and to provide a venue for anyone who just wants to “drop in” for a chat.  Tea and biscuits and a listening ear are always available and those “dropping in” often drop a donation into a pot which is then distributed to local charities.

The group has supported Buxton Mountain Rescue Team since the team’s Fifty Years of Service appeal in 1964.  Once again the group made a significant donation and BMRT Operations Secretary, Roger Bennett, went along to drop in and thank the members personally.  Roger said, “£100 is a really generous donation from such a small group which supports so many different causes.  It’s a donation we sincerely value.”  A special Certificate of Appreciation will soon be on its way to Chinley!
